Prince Mohammad Bin Fahd Bin Abdulaziz Project for Affordable Housing

Every human being has the right for a decent place to live. For every family, owning a house is a basic need. However, low-income families do not afford owning or building their houses. They find themselves compelled to get loans for that purpose. This affects their livelihood and their ability to provide for other basic needs.

Building a house involves owning a piece of land and providing the building materials. Both items constitute a big financial burden that families with low income cannot afford.
HRH Prince Mohammad Bin Fahd, who is known to always be interested in providing support to the needy, launched his Project for Affordable Housing. The Prince donated the land on which the houses are constructed. The project aims at creating residential communities to house the needy and improve their living conditions.

Achievements

Since this initiative was launched, was successful in providing housing for a large number of needy families. These included 148 housing units in Dammam City, 36 in Hafr Al Baten and 108 in Wasea. The project is currently engaged in building housing in other areas of the Kingdom which include 200 housing units in Jeizan, 300 in Neariya and 100 in Qarea.
