Best Book Contest in the Arab World


The idea of the competition rose out of the Prince Mohammad Bin Fahd Foundation for Humanitarian Development’s interest in supporting science, creativity and everything pertaining to knowledge. The Foundation also seeks to promote creativity and celebrate the Arabic book as a vessel of science and civilization.



Objectives


  • To establish the foundations of authoring Arab books by supporting and highlighting excellent works.
  • To honor active figures and encourage youths to present new and excellent intellectual achievements.
  • To celebrate writers, thinkers and researchers who have made significant contributions to Arab development issues.
  • To encourage those interested in the fields of development to meet the requirements of scientific and cognitive reality in the Arab world.


Our Achievements



Number of books competing in Session One: 122 titles




Awards were distributed during the International Book Fair on Thursday, February 9, 2017, in the presence of the Egyptian Minister of Culture, publishers, and intellectuals.


Number of books competing in Session Two:

112 titles, 26 publishers, 6 Arab countries
